Terwijl ik door mijn spulletjes rommelde kwam ik deze tekening tegen. Hij is 25 jaar geleden door mij gemaakt. Grappig he. While rummaging through my stuff I found this drawing, I made 25 years ago. Isn’t it fun.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Wednesday Stamper: Summer Tea Party. De eerste canvas van de 2, wil graag een setje maken voor in het trappenhuis :o) Here my entry for Wednesday Stamper: Summer Tea Party. The first canvas of 2, I want to make a set for my stairway.
Here the describtion of how I did this for anyone who wants to know but especially for Faye :o)
I started off with a blanc chunky canvas and transferred this gorgeous image of the woman ( a freebie on the blog of Gaby) with a gel medium, then took an image of a tea pot and transferred that partially over the woman image. Then I put on a thick layer of gesso with a spatula, just randomly so you keep some open spots, they will show up when you have sponged it, because the ink will be darker on those spots to gice it a distressed look. Let this dry overnight. Then I took a template and put gesso on it with a spatula again and then immeddiatly remove the template. Again let dry overnight. After everything had dried I sponged with Adirondack inks, some different blues and Distress ink tea dye. Then took a text stamp from hero Arts and stamped that with Distress ink Tea dye. Then took some sequin scrap and sponged with white ink (brand unknown). While this was drying I coloured the spoon with alcohol inks and then transferred a rose on the spoon with gel medium. I took a used tea bag (removed the tealeaves and let it dry) and warpped the string around the spoon. Fasten the spoon with some gold wire. Finished it off by faux stichting around the tea pot.

Hier mijn kaart voor Travel around the World: Venetië. Mijn kaart was voor Katrin en is nu veilig aangekomen. Heb me ook al voor de volgende ronde opgegeven en dan reizen we naar Peking. Here my card for Travel around the world: Venice. My swappartner for this time was Katrin and the card arrived safe and sound. Already put my name in for the next round, then we are travelling to Peking.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Mixed Media Monday: generaties. Ingeborg en ik maken een techniekenboekje met iedere maand een pagina waarbij we om beurten een techniek moeten aangeven. Deze keer de crungy techniek en hiermee deze kaart en bijpassende envelop gemaakt.
Here my entry for Mixed Media Monday: generations. Ingeborg and I are in a personal swap and make eachother a techniquebooklet. Every month we have to make a page and in turns we decide a technique, this time it was crungy. I made her this page and matching envelop.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Saterdays Workout: “sponge” Bob – or what. Dit voorbeeld gemaakt met Studio Art Stamps en is helemaal gestempeld, gemaskerd en gesponst. Dat vind ik zo leuk en ontstpannend om te doen. Here my entry for Saterdays Workout: “sponge” Bob – or what. Made this as a sample with Studio Art Stamps, used stamps, masks and sponges. I find this so much fun and relaxing to do.

En hier dan de derde en tevens laatste van de serie. Dit keer het batman thema, met de skyline van gotham city bij nacht. Natuurlijk kon de bat sign niet ontbreken. Het was een hele klus maar mijn zoon Max is helemaal gelukkig en vindt het vet cool, en daar doen we het dan toch allemaal voor *LOL*. En zo ziet het er dan uit nu ze aan de muur hangen. And here the third and last one from the series. This time the theme was batman, so I painted the skyline of Gotham City by night, and ofcourse what would that be without the bat sign. It was quit a job to do but my son Max is so happy and finds it really awesome and that is what it is all about isn’t it *LOL*. And this is how it looks on his wall.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Make a MOO or two: je favoriete thema. Dacht dat het gemakkelijk zou zijn maar er zijn zoveel dingen die ik leuk vindt dat ik het moeilijk vond te kiezen. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor zee. Here my entry for Make a MOO or Two: your favorite theme. I thought it would be easy, but I had a hard time pick one because I like so many things. Eventually I choose sea.

Deze kaart gemaakt voor de persoonlijke swap met Barbara. Voor de maand juli was de opdracht het gebruik van crackle paint (medium) en een stempel op een andere manier dan dat hij oorspronkelijk bedoeld is. Heb dus het voetje van het glas gebruikt voor zowel de “lamp” als de “vloer”. Ik heb een afdrukje gemaakt waarop je kunt zien welke stukje van de stempel ik gebruikt heb. This card made for the personal swap with Barbara. The assignment for the month of July was to use crackle paint or medium and use a stamp in a different way. I made a scan of the stamp I have used for the “lamp” and the “floor”, on this picture you can see which part of the stamp I have used.

Een stukje terug kun je lezen hoe en wat. Hier dus het tweede canvas met Star Wars thema. Nu dus 2 klaar nog 1 te gaan. Uiteraard maak ik straks ook een foto hoe het eruitziet als ze op Max zijn kamer hangen. A couple of articles back you can read about the ins and outs about this. Here the second canvas with Star Wars theme. Two down still one to go. Ofcourse when everything is finished I will make a picture on how this looks at Max his bedroomwall.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor TMTA: nostalgie. Deze ATC was verstuurd naar Willy voor onze persoonlijke swap maar is nooit aangekomen :o( . De afspraak was om “afval” te gebruiken, en in deze ATC was het afval een dekseltje van kattenvoer wat ik bewerkt heb met de Quickutz goosebump en dan een rondje uitgeponst. Here my entry for TMTA: nostalgie. This ATC was sended to Willy for our personal swap but never made it to her home. We agreed using trash, the trash in this ATC was the lid of tin with cat food, which I put in the Quikcutz and used the goosebumps, then punched out a circle.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor zowel Gothic Arch Challenge: handschrift en Mixed Media Monday: roest. Heb geprobeerd de 2 uitdagingen te combineren. De roest achtergrond was niet zo moeilijk volgens een lesje op Try it Tuesdays, maar het gebruiken van mijn eigen handschrift vond ik lastiger. Here my entry for Gothic Arch Challenge: handwriting as well as Mixed Media: Monday rust. The rusty part wasn’t that hard because there was a lesson on Try it Tuesdays but using my own handwriting was a whole different story. The text is a childrens verse.

Zoals ik een tijdje geleden al vertelde is de piratenkamer van Max verdwenen omdat hij nu aan iets anders toe was. Hij is nu helemaal gek van Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones en Lego Batman. Dus hebben we 3 grote canvassen gekocht en elk canvas krijgt zijn eigen thema. Nu een start gemaakt met de eerste, de ondergrond helemaal zwart geverfd door Max en daar heb ik dus een achtergrond opgeschilderd voor het Indiana Jones thema. Hier komen nog Lego figuurtjes op die worden uitgeprint, gelamineerd en voorzien van magneetjes zodat hij ze op verschillende plaatsen op het canvas kan zetten. 1 achtergrond klaar nog 2 te gaan :o)
As I told a while ago Max wanted his room changed so the pirate themed wall was given a white coat. But instead of making a murral again we choose to do some themes on a big chunky canvas, for each theme one. He is now into Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman. Max painted the canvas black and I painted this background for the Indiana Jones themed canvas. Now Max has to decide which action figures he wants to, then we print them out, laminate them and put a magnet on the backside, so he can move them around as he likes. So 1 down, still 2 to go.
