Sunday Postcard Art: stripey legs

Moest een verjaardagskaart maken en heb deze gelijk gecombineerd met Sunday Postcard Art: gestreepte beentjes. De stempels van het meisje en de bloemen zijn van Studio Art Stamps, de tekst met de provocraft. Had to make a birthday card and combined it witht he theme of Sunday Postcard Art: stripey legs. De stamps of the girl and flowers is from Studio Art Stamps. The text is made with the provocraft.

Joint venture met Dymphie

Onlangs deed Dymphie een oproep: vilsters gevraagd. Niet dat ik zo ervaren was maar het leek me zo gaaf om een boekje te hebben van Dymphie. Dus een afspraak gemaakt om samen de kaftjes voor de boekjes te naaldvilten. En kijk eens wat een super gaaf adressenboekje ik nu heb. Nogmaals heel heel erg bedankt Dymphie.

Recently Dymphie asked: help needed from felters. Not that I am that experienced but I really would love the have a booklet from Dymphie. So we made an appointment and Dymphie came over to learn how to needle felt a cover, so we both made a cover and Dymphie took them both home . And look how Dymphie turned it into an awesome address booklet.  Again thank you SO much Dymphie.

By the sea

Dit weekend lekker een weekendje weg en we zaten met prachtig weer heerlijk aan zee. Moet nu toch een beetje afkicken om weer in mijn normale ritme te komen.

Spend the weekend by the sea. We had such great weather and it was so relaxing that I have troubles getting back to normal life again.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Wednesday Stamper: JURK. Doordat ik de vrouw een aantal keren met UTEE heb ge-embost, komt ze niet zo duidelijk over op de foto.  Here my entry for Wednesday Stamper: DRESS. Because of the fact that I embossed the woman with UTEE 3 times, she doesn’t photograph that well.

Crazy Amigo’s: rub ons

Nog helemaal hoteldebotel van de technique van Stamp Zia, deze kaart gemaakt voor een verjaardag met in mijn achterhoofd natuurlijk de uitdaging van Crazy Amigo’s: rub ons. Deze keer de achtergrond gemaakt met distress inkt en craftsheet, vergat ik per ongeluk de krijtjes dus de daarna er bovenop, toen sequin scrap gepakt en alles nog een keer gesponst. Wilde met chloor werken maar was bang dat het ook de zwart inkt van de afdruk zou meenemen dus heb ik de stempel afgedrukt met Versamark en daarna met zwart embossing poeder geembost. Toen met gesso wat witte cirkels gemaakt, alles goed laten drogen en toen met chloor aan de slag in alle cirkels. Die waren heel erg mooi wit geworden waardoor ik wat accentkleuren kon aanbrengen met diverse kleuren kleurpotlood. Moest ik natuurlijke rub on niet vergeten, door alle laagjes krijt, inkt en kleurpotlood pakte de rub on niet precies zoals het hoorde, maar wat nu zo gaaf uitpakte was wel dat het belangrijkste erop stond, dus in plaats van happy birthday of zoiets te stempelen kon ik de datum invullen.

I am completely in love with the technique of Stamp Zia, so I made this birthday card inspired by this technique ofcourse not forgetting the challenge at Crazy Amigo’s: rub ons. First I made the background with distress inks and a craftsheet, to realize I forgot the crayons, so I put the crayons on top of that, then took some sequin scrap and sponged with distress ink. I wanted to use bleach for the area’s I wanted to lighten but was afraid that it would lighten the black ink of the stamp image also, so I stamped with Versamark and then used black embossing powder. After that I put some circles on it with bottle caps and gesso. Within all the circles I used some bleach and when it was completely dry I made some accents with colouring pencils. Now I had to live up the challenge of Crazy migo’s so I took a rub on and put it on my work, didn’t  completely work out the way it should because of all the different materials like crayons, pencils, bleach etc on the backgrounds, but the most important information was transferred so that made me very happy and instead of putting happy birthday or something like that on the card I wrote the date.
