One World One Heart 2011

Ook dit jaar ben ik weer van de partij bij One World One Heart. Dit is het originele canvas gepubliceerd in de Art Specially nummer 10 wat ik aanbied als mijn prijs. Alles wat je hoeft te doen is een comment achter te laten in dit artikel en op 17 februari zal ik een gelukkige winnaar trekken.

Het is de laatste keer dat Lisa dit event organiseert, ik heb 4 van de 5 jaar met plezier meegedaan. Dank je wel Lisa voor dit geweldige event en voor al het werk dat je erin gestoken hebt.

Wednesday Stamper: inky backgrounds

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Wednesday Stamper: inky backgrounds. Deze kaart gemaakt voor de verjaardag van de zoon van mijn jongste broer, hij wordt 16, altijd lastig om daar een kaart voor te maken, tenminste vind ik, hij mag weliswaar nog geen motor rijden maar had helaas geen brommer in mijn collectie met stempels. De prachtige stencils op de achtergrond zijn van Layers of Color.

Art Creations Friday: challenge 100

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Art Creations Friday: challenge 100. Heb deze layout gemaakt op scrapbook papier en is dus 30 x 30 cm als voorbeeld voor de workshop die ik volgende maand bij De Craftorij ga geven om te laten zien dat het niet alleen op kaarten erg leuk is maar ook als layout de workshop zelf wordt in kaartformaat gedaan, ik heb hier gebruik gemaakt van vintage plaatjes maar die kunnen hartstikke goed vervangen worden door eigen foto’s die je zwart/wit of sepia afdrukt. Het woord family stond al op het scrapbook papier en heb ik alleen een beetje geaccentueerd.

Made this layout on scarpbook paper measuring 12″x 12″, its a sample for a workshop I am  giving at The Craftorij next month, to show people that this technique is not only awesome for greeting cards but also look great for a layout, the workshop itself involves a card. I used vintage images for this one but you can easely replace those with your own photo’s that you print out in b/w or sepia. The worde family was already on the scarpbook paper I only enhanced it a little.

SDC 22: put on your best mask

Hier mijn bijdrage voor SDC 22: zet je beste masker op. Deze kaart gemaakt van mijn zoon Max zijn verjaardag, duurt nog wel even maar dan weet ik zeker dat ik op tijd klaar ben. Natuurlijk kan ik het niet laten om hartjes te gebruiken hij is per slot van rekening een valentijntje. Stempelen, maskeren en sponsen blijft mijn favoriete techniek, zo heerlijk ontspannend.

Here my entry for SDC 22: put on your best mask. Made this card for my son Max his birthday, it still takes a while but now I know for sure I will be ready in time. Ofcourse I had to use hearts because he is a valentine. Stamping, masking and sponging is my absolute favorite technique, its so relaxing

Gemaakt voor mijn zus/made for my sister

Dit potje gemaakt voor mijn oudste zus als bedankje. Zij en haar man namen Max gisteren mee om naar een film te gaan in het Omniversum. Zij vond mijn paarse potje van een tijdje terug zo leuk.

En nu weer terug in het gareel, de kerstvakantie is zo goed als over en morgen weer over naar de orde van de dag. De laatste 2 weken veel gebeurd. Allereerst kerstavond gevierd bij Margreet en haar familie, volgens jarenlange traditie die we er absoluut inhouden. Op oudjaarsavond werd mijn vader plotseling opgenomen in het ziekenhuis en hij ligt er nog steeds en dit soort dingen die me erg bezig houden maakt dat ik last krijg van opruimwoede om mijn gedachten te verzetten dus ben 3 dagen bezig geweest mijn hobbykamer opnieuw in te richten, je wilt niet weten wat ik allemaal tegenkwam en er leek geen eind aan te komen. Nu heb ik wel een heel voldaan gevoel, een prachtig opgeruimd stekje en ongelooflijk veel blauwe plekken en spierpijn :O

Made this little jar for my sister, she and her husband invited my son Max to go to a movie in the Omniversum, so I wanted to thank her for that and she told me she loved my purple one so much, I couldn’t resist making one fer her too in her favorite colours.

And now back to normal. Its the last day of Max his vacation and from tomorrow all things are as usual. Many things happened over the last two weeks, for of all we spend christmas eve at my best friends place, a tradition for many years now. On new years eve my father was rushed to the hospital and still is there since. That makes me worry and if I am worried I tend to have the urge to clean and clear-up things, so I re-organised my craft space, it took me 3 days to do so, oh boy I didn’t know I had so much clutter. But now I feel content, I have a tidied workspace and a lot of bruises and muscular ache 😮
