Think Monday- Think ATC and more

Hebben jullie gezien dat TMTA weer verder gaat, maar nu niet alleen met ATC’s maar alles mag, kaarten, ATC”s, AJ pagina’s etc. Het thema is nu hoofddeksels en hier is mijn bijdrage in de vorm van de voorkant van een Art Journal.

Did you see that TMTA restarted again, not only with ATC’s but everything goes, cards, AJ pages and ofcourse ATC’s and more. The theme for this week is head coverings and here is my entry, its the front of a Art Journal.

Blast from the past – blog hop

Step-by-step:

1. stamp the boy with Stazon Black. Stamp also on masking paper and mask off.

2. Stamp film strip with Stazon Black. Stamp also on masking paper and mask off.

3. Stamp  birds in treehole with Stazon Black. Stamp also on masking paper, but put aside for a while.

4. Stamp the text underneath the film strip with Stazon Black.

5. Remove the other masks and colour the images.

6. Put all masks back on and take some wax pencils (stabilo woody 3-in-1), wet your brush with lots of water and take some colour of the pencil, and splash to background. Did this with blue as well as green.

7. Matt it on black cardstock and glue on with mircale tape on a double white card.

Opgeruimd staat netjes

Het “kerstpakket” van 2012 zat verpakt in zulke blikken, had al meteen een bestemming voor het, maar ja 1 is ook maar alleen. Dus mijn man gevraagd of hij op het werk wilde vragen dat als mensen er toch niks mee deden of ik ze dan mocht. Een aantal kwamen reeds mijn kant op, en heb dus eerst alle enkele stempels erin gedaan, daarna de kleine verpakkingen en de A6. Nu nog de A5. Is het niet toevallig dat de blikken precies maar dan ook precies passen in mijn la. Je ziet op de “ervoor” wel wat voor rommeltje het was, je kent dat wel, zoek je bepaalde stempels dan liggen die natuurlijk onderop, steeds probeerde ik het weer netjes te ordenen maar na 1  zoektocht was het toch weer een puinhoop. Ik ben nu helemaal blij, en zonder hebberig te willen klinken hoop ik stiekum dat er nog meer mijn kant op komen, want zeg nu zelf, ziet het er netjes uit of wat 😮

My husband got these ton cans from work. My clear stamp drawer was such a mess and when i saw the can he got I immediately knew what to do with it, but one is only one so I asked him to inquire at work if people didn’t use it if i could get them and as you can see he already brought some. And it happens to be that they fit perfectly in my drawer, how cool is that. Doies this look neat or what 😮

Voor het vilten/before felting in the washing machine

De afgelopen weken af en toe wat zitten haken om mijn gedachten een beetje af te leiden. De kleine hartjes horen niet bij het ontwerp, dan zijn alleen spelden om een en ander mee vast te zetten om te kijken waar ik wat wilde. Ben niet zeker of dit is wat ik wil, en of de onderdelen uberhaupt op de krans terecht zullen komen. Om de krans heen is gebreid, de onderdelen zijn gehaakt met viltgaren, maar heb ze niet zover laten krimpen als mogelijk is omdat ik de steken van het haken eigenlijk ook wel leuk vindt. Het kan goed zijn dat de onderdelen op een tas komen die ik ooit eens van hetzelfde garen heb gebreid en vervilt maar waarvan de kleuren na het vervilten niet zo waren zoals ik gehoopt had. Kan dus nog alle kanten op 😮

The past few weeks I have been on and off crochting to take my mind off of things. the little hearts don’t belong to the design but are the pins I used to see where I wanted things. I am not convinced that this is what I had in mind. Maybe all bits and bobs will end up on another project.  I can;t make up my  mind 😮

Dank je wel iedereen/thank you so much

Langs deze weg wil ik iedereen bedanken voor de steun in deze moeilijke periode. De comments, emails, kaarten, telefoontjes en knuffels heb ik als heel hartverwarmend ervaren, jullie steun was als een warme deken op een ijskoude winterdag. Ik vond en vind het heel moeilijk om iedereen persoonlijk te bedanken, maar weet dat ik het enorm gewaardeerd heb en nog steeds doe. Dus bij deze allemaal vanuit mijn hart heel erg bedankt!!

Through this message I want to thank everyone who supported me and my family in this hard time. The comments, e-mails, cards, phone calls and hugs where heart warming, it felt like a warm blanket on e very cold winterday. I found and still do find it hard to thank everyone pesonally but I hopw you knoiw how much I appreciated your support. So I want to thank everyone from the botom of my heart!!!
