Mijn schoonzusje vroeg of ik wat met een oude bestekdoos zou kunnen, euh….. ja natuurlijk, het is wel een uitdaging, hier en daar beschadigd, de bodemplaat van het bovenste vak is weg, maar dat maakt het juist gemakkelijk want alles wat je doet is een verbetering en ik ben al bezig geweest om een nieuwe plaat te zagen, dus stap 1 is al genomen, nu nog de rest van de box alteren 😮 Natuurlijk zal het nog wel even duren voor ik klaar ben, maar goed werk heeft tijd nodig.

My sister in law asked me if I could use an old box, duh ….. ofcourse I can, its a challenge because its not complete anymore and here and there some things are damaged, but the more worn out it is, the easier it will be to improve it, already busy and made a new botom plate for the top part of the box, the drawer is still intact as are th hinges. Now altering the rest of it 😮 i will take some time for me to finish it, but hey, good work takes time.

Lekker zitten spelen met een wat in eerste instantie een mislukte achtergrond was, maar met was gesso, dyslusions, M’xed Media Inx en stempels van Judikins, Stampington en Stamp-it, heb ik hem toch weten te redden.

Just playing around with a background that was so wrong and absolutely a failure, but with some gesso, dylusions sprays, M’xed Media Inx and stamps from Judikins, Stampington and Stamp-it, I managed to save it.

Less is More week 107

Ik was druk bezig met het thema voor Less is More, en hoe langer ik bezig was hoe minder het less is more werd hahaha. Dus ondanks dat de bovenste kaart wel voldoet aan het thema, vond ik hem toch niet passen en terwijl ik door mijn map met Viva Las VegaStamps zat te kijken, waar ook de luchtballonnen en het vogeltje  (plate 893)  vandaan kwamen zag ik ineens die pluizebol (plate 918), en up in the air past hier ook wel bij vind ik 😮

I was busy with the theme of Less is More but the longer I worked the less is was Less is More hahaha. So even though the top card fits the theme I decided to make another one to fit the challenge blog more. And while I was searching in my Viva Las VegaStamps album (the air balloons and bird (plate 893)  are also Viva Las VegaStamps) I saw this dandellion (plate 918)  and I think this fits the theme perfectly 😮

Wat gebeurt er…../What happens if….

Close-up, wilde laten zien dat ik het vogeltje meermaals ge-embossed heb met hoogglans embssoing poeder, krijg het niet goed op de foto, maar bij het hoofdje zie je toch de glans een beetje/ Close-up, wanted to show that I high embossed the bird, but couldn’t manage to make a good photo, but if you look at the head you see the gloss.

Dit is het sponsje wat ik gebruik voor de faux airbrushing techniek, komt uit de schminck wereld/This is the sponge I use to do the faux airbrushing technique, it is used in the face painting scene.

Wat gebeurt er als je een kaart maakt, je bureau eruit ziet alsof je al maanden bezig bent in plaats van met maar 1 kaart, juist ja, je pakt de dingen die nog steeds niet opgeruimd zijn en dus binnen handbereik liggen hahaha. Ik snap niet hoe ik het toch altijd voor elkaar krijg om zo’n puinhoop te creeeren als ik ergens mee bezig ben, het lijkt wel alsof er iets ontploft is 😮

What happens if you make a card, and your desk looks like a complete mess, by only making one card. You grab the things that still are on your desk. I can’t figure out why it is that it looks like something exploded instead of making just one card 😮

Take it, Make it blog Challenge 2# and FSC challenge

Dit is zo leuk om te doen, dat ik niet kon weerstaan om er nog een te maken voor de Take it, Make it blog challenge 😮 Net als bij de vorige heb ik het masker zelf gemaakt uit transparant sheet. En ik zag dat de uitdaging bij FSC vogels is, dus hij past hier ook prima binnen het thema.  This is so awesome to do, I couldn’t resist to make another one for the Take it, Make it blog challenge  😮 Als like my previous entry I made the mask my self out of transparant sheet. And I saw the challenge at FSC is birds, so its fits perfectly for this challenge also.

Deze art journal spread gemaakt naar aanleiding van een artikel op de Dutch Art Journal Yahoo groep. Moet zeggen dat ik het eenvoudiger vind om vanuit wit te starten en dan kleur aan te brengen met zwarte accenten, dan in dit geval met een zwarte ondergrond te beginnen en daar kleur en/of wit aan te brengen. En hij past mooi binnen het thema van Art Journal Journey: vrede, duifjes zijn het symbool van vrede.

Made this art journal spread  due to an article on the Dutch Art Journal Yahoo Group. I have to say that its much easier to start with a white background and put some colour and black accents on it, then the other way around, starting with a black background and then put some colour and white on it. I Think it fits perfectly within the theme of Art Journal Journey: peace, doves are symbol of peace.

Vlinder gekregen van Margreet/Butterfly was a present from Margreet

Deze prachtige vlinder kreeg ik gisteren van Margreet. Look at this gorgeous wooden butterfly I got from Margreet yesterday.

Moest er natuurlijk even mee spelen, inkt ging niet goed, maar verf des te beter. I had to play with it ofcourse, ink didn’t work out that well, but paintd did.
