Paris

Deze week is het thema voor Wednesday Stamper: Parijs. Eigenlijk helemaal geinspireerd door de Art Journey dag, de prachtige vierkantjes kaart was een workshop gegeven door Dianne Spoolder en laten er nu in mijn goodybag een charm van de Eifeltoren en de prachtige dame met Haute Couture kleding van B-Line. Toeval bestaat niet!

This weeks theme dor Wednesday Stamper: Paris. Totally inspired by the Art Journey event. The layout with de squares was a workshop given by Dianne Spoolder and by surprise I found the little charm of the Eifeltower and the gorgeous rubberstamp of the lady in Haute Couture  from B-Line in my goodybag. There is no such a thing as coincidence!

Vandaag ongelooflijk verwend met prachtige post. Nancy James had een item op haar blog staan waar je een comment achter kon laten en je kan kon maken op het item. Nancy had mij uitgeroepen als runner-up en wilde me iets sturen. Nou vandaag viel het op de mat, en ook al was ik runner-up ik voelde me een winnaar. Deze schitterende arch en de stijlvolle kaart die eromheen maakt mijn dag helemaal. Dank je wel Nancy.

Today I am spoiled with beautyful mail from Nancy James. Nancy decided to name 2 runner-ups and today I received this gorgeous arch and stylish card to hold the arch. This doesn’t feel like a runner-up this feels like I am the winner. Thank you again Nancy you have made my day.

4cm x 4 cm mini collages/ 1,6″x 1,6″mini collages

Vandaag weer 4 stuks 4cm x 4 cm mini collages gemaakt. Wat is dit heerlijk om te doen. Echt een heel leuk maatje om mee te werken.

joint venture

Max had de afgelopen week vakantie en dan vinden wij het leuk om dingen samen te doen, met name op het gebied van hobby. Gisteren zijn we bezig geweest met gutsen. Het woordje DREAM is al eens langs geweest op mijn blog en het gezichtje heb ik gisteren gedaan, vind het toch nog wel tegenvallen om mooie dunne lijntjes te krijgen. Maar waar ik ongelooflijk trots op ben is dat Max zijn eigen naam heeft geschreven en deze helemaal eigenhandig zonder enige hulp van mij heeft uitgegutst. Als je het hem ziet doen lijkt het zo simpel. En dan te bedenken dat Max vorige week 8 is geworden.

Max had vacation  this last week and we love to do things together when he has vacation. Yesterday we carved our own stamp. The word DREAM was done before and you can find that on my blog, but the image is done yesterday. I find it hard to make beautyful thin lines, so I have to practize more. But Max made me unbelievable proud because he wrote his name and carved it all by himself without any help from me. And if you watch him doing this it looks incrediblely easy.  Max turned 8 last week.

Inchies

Uiteindelijk toch de stap gewaagd om echte inchies te maken, wat zijn ze klein, een ruimte van 1″x 1″oftewel 2,5 cm x 2,5 cm is iets om zomaar even kwijt te raken terwijl je aan het werk bent, moest meerdere keren zoeken naar mijn figuurtje of mijn achtergrondje. Uiteindelijk er toch 3 weten te maken.

Finally had the nerve to start making an inchie, Wow talking about small, 1″x 1″ is very very small. I lost my image or background several times while working on it. Managed to make three after all.

mini grungy

Geinspireerd door de square 1″x1″ die Tina S. gemaakt heeft, geprobeerd ook op wat kleinere schaal te werken. Dit kaartje zat in een zak chips, alles wat eromheen en bij zit gooi ik gewoon weg, maar deze kaartjes kan ik gewoonweg niet weggooien, denk altijd er wel eens iets mee te kunnen doen, en dat was dus vandaag. Het is een 4cm x 4 cm (= 1,6″x 1,6″) kaartje, dus iets groter dan een inchie. Maar wel een uitdaging om er iets mee te doen en ERG LEUK.

Inspired by de square 1″x1″ of Tina S. I have tryed to work on a smaller scale. Ths little card was tucked in a bag of potato chips, all things in and around I threw away, but these little cards I can’t through away, always thinking they will come in handy. And today they did. The size is 4cm x 4 cm (=1,6″x 1,6″), so a little bit bigger than an inche. It was a challenge but very much fun to do.

Footwear

Uitdaging/challenge

Heb de afbeelding uitgeprint op transparant sheet, toen een stuk afvalpapier van mijn bureau gepakt en er in de hoekjes nog de tekst van Hero Arts op gestempeld. Toen een achtergrond gemaakt met Adirondack dye inkten en water en daar de fotolijst van B-Line op gestempeld en uitgeknipt. Daarna de achtergrond gemaakt van diverse merken scrapbook papier en daar de kantrand van B-Line en de tekst van Paperbag Studio op gestempeld. De foto achter de lijst geplakt en het geheel op de achtergrond geplakt en toen nog de poststempel van Ink and the Dog deels over de lijst en deels over de achtergrond gestempeld. Daarna 2 zwarte eyelets in de linkerkant geslagen en er een stukje zwart wax koord doorheen geknoopt. Het geheel gemat op zwart kaartkarton. De uitdaging was gebruik: deze foto, roze en je fantasie.

Printed the couple on transparant sheet, took a piece of scrap of my desk and stamped the text from Hero Arts on the corners. Made a background with Adirondack dye inks and water and stamped the frame (B-Line) on it and cut out. Then made a background of diffrent pieces of scrapbook papers and stamped the lace (B-Line) text (Paperbag Studio). Then glued the photo behin the frame and ont he background. Finally stamped the postmarks (Ink and the Dog) over the frame and background. Took 2 black eyelets and thread a piece of wax cord. And put everything on black cardstock. The challenge was use: this image, pink and your imagination.

Little Angel

Gisteren even zitten spelen met een achtergrondje wat ik vorige week heb gemaakt Adirondack dye inkt. Een prachtige image van Kristina Images gekozen, maar ik had nog vleugels nodig. Deze zijn zelfgemaakt van een overhead sheet met daarop plakplastic met een werkje erin (je weet wel dat spul wat mensen op hun  ramen plakken om inkijk te voorkomen). Dit gekleurd met alcoholinkt en uitgeknipt met een fotoschaar. De lijnen getekend met een zwarte fineliner.

The background I had made last week and yesterday I wanted to make it into a collage. Image used is from Kristina Images. But it needed some wings. So I made the wings out of an overhead sheet and sticky back transparant plastic with texture in it, colored with alcohol inks en cut out with photo siccors. The lines are drawn with a black fineliner.
