Achterkant, mijn gelli plate was net een halve centimeter kleiner dan de omtrek van het flesje, dus dit gat opgevuld met een tapeje/Back, my gelli plate measures 15x15cm, just half a centimter short for the size of my bottle, so I used washi tape

Op 1 been kun je niet staan, daar heb je er 2 voor nodig, maar het gezegde is toch echt alle goeie dingen in 3 hahaha. Mijn project van gisteren aangevuld met een derde flesje, mijn mosterd/dille saus was leeg en ik vond het flesje zo leuk dat ik er nog een projectje mee heb gemaakt, nu dus niet met lijm maar met de gelli plate transfer technique. Ik gebruik overigens geen plakband maar boeklon omdat je dan niet allemaal strepen krijgt maar kunt werken in het formaat van je gelli plate. Helaas heb ik de kleinste maat gekozen omdat ik niet wist of ik het leuk zou vinden, achteraf had ik toch een maatje groter gewild :o) Ook gebruik ik spray lijm  om  de dingen op het glas te bevestigen, als je dit alleen op de transfer doet, plakt hij wel heel goed op het glas en blijft ook gewoon zitten, maar kun je hem ook weer gemakkelijk verwijderen op het moment dat je de dingen wilt aanpassen aan bijvoorbeeld het seizoen.

I like things with oneven numbers, so I made an extra bottle/vase for my project I showed yesterday with the gelli plate transfer technique. By the way I don’t use tape but booklon (don’t know if its called that way in english, but I mean the sticky back plastic you use for protection books) because you can cover larger areas this way. I use spray glue to glue it on the bottle, when you only spray on the transfer it sticks to the glass perfectly but it is still removable when yoyu want to change the decor for instance when the seasons change.

mijn eerste experiment met de gelli plate

Gisteren heerlijk genoten van de Mixed Media Diva dag bij De Craftorij en natuurlijk hebben we daar ook lekker geshopt, uiteindelijk toch overstag gegaan en een gelli plate gekocht. Hier mijn eerste experiment. De stempels die ik gebruikt heb zijn van Viva las VegaStamps.

Yesterday we had an awesome day, our annual Mixed Media Diva day, at De Craftorij, and ofcourse we had time to shop around, couldn;t resist the gelli plate any longer and bought me one. This is my first experiment. The stamps that I used are from Viva las VegaStamps.

Helmar teams up with Viva Las VegaStamps

This is my project using Helmar products and Viva Las VegaStamps. Its so awesome to do these joint ventures. Look at the blog for more inspiration because this week its Helmar inspiration week. And here is the direct link for todays posts

A short step by step. First I put decoupage glue on the cover (front as well as back) and used white napkins to cover it, made the wrinkles on purpose, I love that loook. Gave it a lit coat of gesso. On the right hand side I put on red acryllic paint, let dry and then give it a layer of PVA Glue, let dry untill tacky and then put on a layer of white acryllic paint. After it was almost dry I start to tear the paint so the red showds through. Then I made the heart out of PVA glue. Because this post will be as long as it is already I made a tutorial about that and it will on the VLVS blog on  may 28th. It will be a complete step-by-step photo tutorial. Stamped the wheeld jester on Kromecote and gave it a bit of colour. I love black.white with a touch of red. Stamped the text on with Stazon Black. Glued the heart on with PVA glue. Glued Jester on and then finished it of with these chipboard letters. Finally I tied some ribbons.

As you can see the heart is see through, so you can see the stamps beneath it, but it also is awesome to stamp on it.

kunstroute en meimarkt

Vanmorgen even naar de meimarkt in Tilburg geweest. Helaas viel er voor mij niet zoveel te scoren want er waren ongelooflijk veel tweedehands kleren, maar wist toch deze supergave stempels te scoren. Ze zullen wel niet zo mooi afstempelen want ze zijn van metaal maar ik vind ze zo mooi om te zien, soms koop je de dingen puur voor de heb :o)

This morning I visited a fleamarket. unfortunally I didn’t see much cool stuff, most of them where second hand clothes, but then suddenly I spotted these cool stamps. They won’t stamp easely because they are made out of metall, but I absolutely love the look of them.

En vanmiddag besloten we de kunstroute te volgen in Oisterwijk, had nog maar 2 kansen want morgen eindigt hij en ik had er nog niets van gezien. Op diverse plaatsen stonden kunstwerken waaronder ook beschilderde trolleys. Maar het leuke was dat ze ook te koop waren in de originele staat zodat je er een zelf kon alteren.  Nou dat is niet tegen dovemansoren gezegd, dus er een uitgezocht en mee naar huis gesleurd. Nu nog inspiratie opdoen om hem op te sieren, kan wel even duren eer ik dit grote project af heb. Zoals je kunt zien op het kaartje ziet de mijne er nog zo uit als de linkse op het kaartje.

And this afternoon we went to the centre of Oisterwijk to walk the art route. My last change because it ends tomorrow. On several places you could see awesome art work, for instance altered trolleys. But the fun thing was that you could buy an old airplane trolley that wasn;t altered yet to alter yourself. I couldn’t resist and bought one, bewing such large project I don’t expect to be finished soon :o) Mine does look like the left one on the card.

Grow up – grow creative

Nogmaals een poging gewaagd naar aanleiding van een tutorial bij Grow Creative. Deze keer gekozen voor een foto van Max die nog niet zo lang geleden is gemaakt. Moet wel zeggen dat er veel foto’s niet geschikt zijn om te gebruiken, maar ben tevreden over hoe deze eruit is gekomen. Hier zit Max samen met zijn vader in de trein en zijn ze heel serieus iets aan het bekijken, wat weet ik niet meer hahaha. in de hoek heb ik een stencil gebruikt om het grote vlak wat te doorbreken.

Another try after seeing this tutorial at Grow Creative. This time I choose a photo of Max that was more recently taken.  I have to say that lots of photos are not suitable for this technique, but I like the result of this one. Here Max and his father are traveling by train and looking very seriouesly at something interesting, but I don;t have any clue anymore of what that was hahaha. In the upper right corner I used a stencil to break up the quit large dark spot

easy water colour tutorial

Ik zag deze link en hier laten ze zien hoe gemakkelijk je een foto om kunt zetten naar een waterverf portret waarbij je niet hoeft te kunnen tekenen. Natuurlijk kon ik het niet weerstaan om dit uit te proberen. Zo gaaf!!! Dit is een schoolfoto van Max van 2005.

I saw this link and it shows how easy it is to turn a photo into a water colour portrait, you don’t need drawing skills. Ofcourse I couldn’t resist to try this out. So awesome!!!  this is a schoolphoto of Max from 2005.

weer eens iets gemaakt

Eindelijk is deze kaart af, ben er denk ik een maand geleden mee begonnen, vond het steeds niet af en heb iedere keer iets toegevoegd. Ben er nog steeds niet zeker van maar keur hem nu goed hoor. De prachtige stempel met het meisje kreeg ik van mijn zwager en schoonzusje voor mijn verjaardag.

Finally I finished this card, started with it a month ago and kept on adding every time I saw it. Not sure if I like it but I can’t keep adding more. the gorgeous stamp with the girl was a birthday present from mijn BIL and SIL.

VLVS! design team call

Wat vliegt de tijd, toen ik 8 maanden geleden aangenomen werd als designteam lid voor 9 maanden dacht ik dat dat een hele tijd was en nu is dat alweer bijna voorbij. Het is zo leuk om te doen dat ik graag weer een termijn zou willen doen. Misschien vind jij het ook leuk om te doen, dus wie weerhoud je om je ook aan te melden. Voor meer informatie kun je hier de regels vinden. Het is open voor iedereen, of je nu een kaartenmaker, scrapboeker of mixed media artiest bent. Hierboven een impressie van het werk van de afgelopen tijd waarin ik wil laten zien dat je met een en dezelfde sheet allerlei kanten uit kunt, bedenk wat je kunt doen met meer dan 19.000 images!!!!!
