TMTA: Spring

Mijn bijdrage voor TMTA: LENTE. Heerlijk het fris groen van het nieuwe blad, de fluitende vogels en de ontluikende bloemen. De bloem en de vogel zijn van Studio Art Stamps, de swirl is van Hero Arts. My entry for TMTA: SPRING. I loev the fresh green of the new leaves, the birds singing and the flowers which are starting to pop out. The stamps of the flower and bird are from Studio Art Stamps, the swirl is from Hero Arts.

Skinny Saterday: Paper Whimsy

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Skinny Saterday: Paper Whimsy. De stempels van de vrouw en de vlinder zijn van Oxford Impressions, de net stempel op de achtergrond van B-Line. Ik vind Paper Whimsy prachtig, de enige moeilijkheid aan deze uitdaging was om te kiezen welk plaatje het zou worden. Here my entry for Skinny Saterday: Paper Whimsy. The stamps of the woman and the butterfly are from Oxford Impressions, the net stamp on the background is from B-Line. I really love Paper Whimsy, the only difficulty with this challenge was to decide which image to use.

Mijn eerste zentangle

 

Door een mailwisseling op een van mijn Yahoo groepen, ben ik gaan zoeken op Fatma’s blog om te laten zien dat zentangle en stempelen heel mooi samen gaan. Maar na het zien van al het moois van Fatma kon ik de verleiding toch niet weerstaan. Dus hier mijn allereerste zentangle. De stempel is van paper Artsy.

 At one of my Yahoogroups there was a discussion, so to show that zentangle and rubber stamping goes perfectly hand in hand I browsed through Fatma’s blog, she has made awesome ones. After seing these again I couldn’t resist and had to try. So here it is my very first zentangle. The rubber stamp is from paper Artsy.

TGIF: tags

Hier mijn bijdrage voor TGIF: labels.  Labels zijn zo leuk om te maken, en natuurlijk weer in mijn favoriete kleuren, want hoewel het hier lente is lijkt het de laatste tijd meer op herfst of zelf winter. Het plaatje was een zwart/wit afbeelding die ik met de hand ingekleurd heb met Karisma potloden. Here my entry for TGIF: tags. I really love making tags, and used my favorite colours, it is spring overhere but lately it more lloks like autumn or even winter. The image was a black and white photo which I coloured in by hand with my Karisma colouring pencils.

Skinny Alphabet: J

 

Weer een nieuwe pagina voor mijn Skinny Alphabet Book, de letter J van JONGLEUR, met als opdracht het gebruik van een transparant/acetaat. Heb de jongleur op een transparant sheet geprint, aan de achterkant alles zwart omlijnd, daarna een achtergrond gemaakt met verschillende papiersoorten en met gekleurde splitpennetjes in elk balletje de sheet vastgezet op de achtergrond. Met epoxi letters het woord juggler gemaakt.

Another page for my Skinny Alphabet Book, the letter J for JUGGLER, we had to use transparant/acetate. I printed the juggler on a piece of acetate and with a black marker I drew the outside lines. Then I made the background with scraps of different papers. Then fastened the acetate on the background by putting a little coloured brad in each of the balls. With epoxi letters the word juggler on top of the acetate.

Wednesday Stamper: Purple

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Wednesday Stamper: PAARS. Dit plaatje komt van een gratis ansichtkaartje bij de bioscoop, vond hem zo leuk en met haar paarse bril helemaal in stijl van de uitdaging. Here my entry for Wednesday Stamper: PURPLE. The image is a free postcard you can get at the cinema. I liked it so much and the purple glasses fits perfectly this weeks challenge.

Sneakpeek

Ben een hele tijd met dit project bezig geweest en kan hem ook nog niet laten, maar vond deze detailfoto zo leuk, dat ik hem alvast als sneakpeek laat zien. Past helemaal bij de lente. I have worked a long time at this project and I can’t show it yet. But I liked how this detail photo turned out, and because we are in spring now I thought I’d show.

TMTA: textured effects

Mijn bijdrage voor TMTA: textured effects. Mijn absolute favoriet is werken met gesso. Deze is gemaakt met gesso en Glimmermist. Ik heb gwerkt met de stempels en kleuren die nog op mijn bureau lagen. My entry for TMTA: textured effects. My overall favorite is working with gesso. This ATC is made with gesso and Glimmermist. I worked with the stamps and colours already laying around on my desk.

Gothic Arch Challenge: Heritage

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Gothic Arch Challenge: Erfgoed. Het huis is genaamd ” ’t oudste huis” en is dat ook hier in Oisterwijk, vond het leuk om nu net dit huis te gebruiken, afgezien van het feit dat het natuurlijk een prachtig huis is met een prachtige vorm. Ben niet zo tevreden over deze arch, mijn muze liet me een beetje in de steek vandaag. Wel leuk om met mijn nieuwe aanwinsten te spelen, de stempel bovenin en de vlinder zijn onderdeel van mijn buit van vrijdag.

Here my entry for Gothic Arch Challenge: Heritage. The house on my arch is called ” ’t oudste huis” and is the eldest house in my village. I thought it would be nice to use that one, apart of the fact that I really like this house and its shape. I am not really happy with how this arch turned out, my muse left me today. But I really wanted to play with my new stamps I bought on friday. The stamp at the top and the butterfly are some of my new toys.

Aangestoken door Dymphie

 

Ik weet niet hoe Dymphie het doet, maar die vindt altijd van die supergave linken. Deze keer stuurde ze een link van een You Tube filmpje waarin Claudine Helmuth liet zien hoe je kan transferen met acrylverf. En dan kan ik dat niet weerstaan en moet dat uitproberen. En het lukt!!! Afgewerkt met mijn nieuwe aanwinsten. Heb daar ook van die gave standaardjes gekocht waar je heel leuk je kaarten op kunt uitstallen. Heb 2 soorten en die andere soort kun je bewerken met alcoholinkt en zo.

Don’t know how Dymphie does it, but she always manage to find the coolest links. This time she send a link of a You Tube clip where Claudine Helmuth demonstrates how to transfer with acryllic paints. I can’t resist this and have to try. I haven’t got any paint dabbers so I tried it with an other brand acryllic paint and guess what, it works!!! Finished iyt off with my newest toys. I also bought some great card holders, they are awesome, there are 2 different kinds and one of them you can alter with alcohol inks and stuff.

En ik ben gisteren naar de Brabant Hallen geweest en buiten het feit dat ik mijn papiervoorraad weer gigantisch heb aangevuld met prachtig papier van Jen Compen, heb ik ook stempels gekocht en moest natuurlijk even spelen met mijn nieuwe aanwinsten.  The theme of Skinny Saterday is: Woman at work. I went to a card and scrap event yesterday and I have bought some awesome papers and ofcourse stamps. I had to play with my new toys.

Deze MOO gemaakt voor het thema van deze week bij Make a MOO or two: SPRING. Nu betekent dat in het engels lente, maar in het Nederlands heeft het een heel andere betekenis. Vond het wel grappig om het verschil tussen de 2 talen uit te beelden. This MOO made for this weeks theme of Make a MOO or two: SPRING. If we say spring in The Netherlands we say jump, I thought it would be fun to show both languages in this MOO.

Skinny Alphabet: B

 

Hier weer een nieuwe pagina voor mijn Skinny Alphabet Book. Dit keer de letter B en we moesten gebruik maken van oud kant. Heb gekozen voor BALLET, hetzelfde in beide talen en de jurkjes lenen zich perfect om subtiel af te werken met een randje kant. De stempels waren van Rubber Baby, helaas bestaat deze stempelfirma niet meer.

Here my new page for my Skinny Alphabet Book. This time we had to do the letter B and use vintage lace. My choice fell on BALLET, works in both languages and the dresses are perfect to use the lace. The rubber stamps of the ballerina’s where from Rubber Baby, unfortunally this compagny no longer exist

TMTA: transparant art 2

 

Hier mijn 2de bijdrage voor TMTA: transparant art. Toen ik de bijdrage van Johanna zag schoot dit idee door mijn hoofd en kon niet rusten eer ik het uitgeprobeerd had. Heb een stuk transparant sheet door de Xyron stickermaker gehaald. Toen een plaatje uitgeknipt en op de achterkant gelegd. Daaromheen het designer leaf, een kadootje van Barbara Hurst (nogmaals dank je wel voor dit gave kado) neergelegd, door de lijm van de stickermachine bleef het vanzelf allemaal plakken. Ziet er in het echt heel gaaf uit, prachtige glans door de verschillende kleuren leaf. En om het transparante nog meer te benadrukken heb ik met zwarte Stazon de tekst van Hero Art aan de voorkant op de sheet gestempeld. Uiteindelijk afgewerkt met een cirkel van kleine gouden splitpennetjes en een zwart onderlaag.

Here my second entry for TMTA: transparant art. When I saw the entry of Johanna this popped into my head and I couldn’t rest before I tried it. I put a piece of transparant sheet through my Xyron sticker maker. Then I cut out an image and put it on the backside of the sheet (the sticky side). Then I used the designer leaf I have got from Barbara Hurst (thanks again Barbara for this really great present) and filled in the spaces which where left. And because you work on the sticky side you don’t need glue to hold the leaf or the image for that matter. It looks so cool in real life, there is a gorgeous shimmer on it. To show more of the transparency I stamped with Stazon Black on top of the sheet. Finished it off with a circle of little golden brads and finally glued it on a black background.
