Skinny Alphabet: R

Hier een close-up, helaas is de foto niet zo goed gelukt. Here a clos-up, unfortunally I didn’t succed to make a decent photo. SORRY!!

Deze keer moesten we een pagina maken met de letter R en dimension. Dus heb ik de vogel 4 x uitgeknipt en in laagjes op mekaar gemaakt met siliconen kit, maar wel zo dat de zijranden elkaar steeds raakten zodat het lijf opbolde. Ook de letters liggen er bovenop en zijn epoxie letters. Het woord wat ik gekozen heb is raaf, en begint in het engels ook met deze letter.

This time we hade to make a page with the letter R and dimension. So I cut out the bird 4 times and glued togther, using 3D kit in the middle so the body would pop, but still tried to glue the edges on eachother. The letters are epoxie so they give dimension as well. The word I choose was raven wich is RAAF in dutch, so it started with the same letter.

Wednesday Stamper: charm

De uitdaging voor Wednesday Stamper voor deze week is: CHARM. Deze charm gemaakt voor Jeanette voor een persoonlijke swap. De charm is gemaakt van Krimpie Dinky en heb er een tag bij gemaakt om hem leuk te versturen. Een jaar lang gaan we elke maand een charm naar mekaar sturen om er aan het eind van het jaar een armband van te maken. This weeks challenge for Wednesday Stamper is CHARM. It is made from shrink plastic and I made a tag to hold it when I send it out. I made this charm for a pesonal swap with Jeanette. Every month we send eachother a charm and at the end of this year we turn it into a bracelet.

  Had meegedaan met de PAY-IT-FORWARD ronde en de eerste 3 commentaren krijgen iets toegestuurd. Deze luciferdoosjes heb ik hiervoor gealtered. Ze hebben 2 laatjes en in die laatjes heb ik kleine kadootjes gedaan met daarbij het kleine labetje.Het kindje op het doosje is een freebie van Willy. Beatrice, Godelieve en Tania houd je brievenbus in de gaten, ze zijn onderweg!

  Elke maand sturen Annieta en ik elkaar een 4 x 4 cm collage. Het thema voor deze keer was nieuwjaar. Ik wilde heel veel zeggen maar met een plekje van 4 x 4 cm is de ruimte beperkt, ik wens Annieta voor dit jaar alle voorspoed op elk gebied.

Na een korte pauze weer bezig met het Skinny Alphabet Book. De letter voor deze ronde is de A van anatomie en we moesten iets met strepen doen. Heb me weer laten inspireren door de natuur, deze onuitputtelijke bron helpt me iedere keer uit de nood.

Gothic Arch challenge: music-lyrics

Het thema van Gothic Arch Challenge is: MUZIEK/TEKST. Misschien omdat mijn man een grote fan is van Bob Dylan en de muziek hier in huis dus heel vaak te horen is, maar dit was wat in mij opkwam en de stempel van Paperbag Studios pastte perfect. De achtergrond stempel (merk onbekend) met muzieknoten eromheen gestempeld. De tekst is gestempeld met de Provocraft. Alles op chromoluxpapier gestempeld met Stazon en gebruik makend van maskers en gesponst met Adirondack inkten.

Theme of Gothic Arch Challenge is: MUSIC/LYRICS. Maybe because my husband is a hugh fan of Bob Dylan and this music is played a lot in our house, this was the text that came into my mind when I saw the theme. The beautiful stamp from Paperbag Studios fitted the text perfectly. Used a stamp with music notes (unknown) and the text is stamped with the Provocraft. I used chromolux paper to stamp on, I stamped with Stazon Black the image from Paperbag Studio, masked that off and put the sheetmusic around it. Sponged with Adirondack dye inks.

 Op 1 maart organiseert Joan Gevaert een open dag en dan wordt haar nieuwe stempellijn geintroduceerd onder de naam:

On March 1st Joan Gevaert is organizing a meeting to introduce her new rubberstamp line, which is named:

 En deze zijn ontworpen door mij. And the designs are mine.

De ontwerpen zullen vanaf 2 maart op haar website staan. The designs will be on her website on March 2nd.

Nog eentje/Another one

 

Ondanks alle lieve commentaren was ik toch niet helemaal gelukkig met de vorige collage a la Kelly Rae Roberts, uitgedaagd door de prachtige versie van Dymphie ( en hier haar tweede).  En kijk hier wat Barbara heeft gemaakt (en hier voor de tweede). Dus nogmaals de stoute schoenen aangetrokken en een tweede poging gewaagd, waar ik me meer in kan vinden. Nu zijn mijn tekenkwaliteiten niet dusdanig dat ik vol zelfvertrouwen ben en durfde het gezichtje er (nog) niet in te tekenen, maar vind zelf dat hij ook kan zonder gezichtje. Ben benieuwd wat jullie mening daar over is.

 In spite of all the sweet comments I wasn’t to happy with the previous collage a la Kelly Rae Roberts, challenged by Dymphie’s gorgeous collage (click here for the second one). Ad look what Barbara did with it (and here for the second one). So I made another attempt, and the second one is more like how I wanted to be the first time. I don’t have great drwaing skills so I was a little reluctant to put a face in it (yet) but I think I can get away with it. Very curious about your opinion about that.

ATC’s voor Willy

Deze ATC’s gemaakt voor Willy, het thema was bomen en bladeren. De groene is met de resist techniek en de andere is gemaakt door eerst een tekst te stempelen op een kaartje, daarna een prachtige foto van boomschors daaroverheen te transferen. De bladeren zag ik in de herfst en vond de kleuren en vorm zo mooi dat ik er een paar mee naar huis had genomen en gedroogd. Het kindje is een freebie op mijn blog.

Made these ATC’s for Willy, the theme was trees and leaves. The green one is done with the resist technique, the other one I stamped a text stamp on a white card and then took a gorgeous photo of  a treebark and transferred it onto the card. The leaves I found last autumn and I liked the shape and colours so much so I took them home and dried them. The little girl is a freebie on my blog.

Aangestoken door Dymphie

 Helemaal enthousiast en aangestoken door Dymphie die geinspireerd was door Kelly Rae Roberts ook een poging gewaagd. Helaas heeft het niet die gave uitstraling die Dymphie bereikte en waarop ik zo verliefd werd. Maar ach, je moet het toch een keer geprobeerd hebben, want het is wel heel gaaf om te doen en het heeft me weer van straat gehouden LOL. Totally enthousiast and triggered by Dymphie who was inspired by Kelly Rae Roberts I made my effort. Unfortunally it hasn’t that WOW factor Dymphie’s has and which made me fall in love immediatly. But I really loved doing it . It is not what you are used from me. Anyway it kept me from doing bad things LOL
