Het nieuwste nummer van Art Specially is er weer bijna! Half maart komt hij in de winkels te liggen, hier alvast een kijkje op de kaft. En trots kan ik vertellen dat ik op de cover sta 😮
The newest issue of the Art Specially magazine will laying in the stores by half of march, here is a peek at the cover. And I am so proud because I am on that cover 😮

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Art Creations Friday: challenge 105. Ben benieuwd of jullie zien wat ik in PSP hebben zitten veranderingen, de verandering is subtiel maar net genoeg om hem toch anders te maken. Hier thuis moesten ze toch een tijdje kijken om te zien wat dat was. Gewoon voor mijn nieuwsgierigheid laat even weten in je comment als je het verschil ontdekt en dan bedoel ik natuurlijk in het plaatje zelf 😮

Heb een tutorial gemaakt van het hart zoals je hierboven ziet. Ben even helemaal verslaafd aan het maken van vilten hartjes en dacht dat het misschien leuk was om te laten zien hoe dit in zijn werk ging. Je kunt hier: Microsoft Word – Tutorial from the heart  het PDF bestand bekijken of downloaden. Het is geen tutorial om het vilten te leren maar een om dit hart te kunnen maken. Enige ervaring met natvilten is wel een vereiste.

Wat doe je als je kind ziek is…. precies in de buurt blijven dus voor mij de afgelopen dagen niet naar boven om in mijn hobbyhokje te verdwijnen. Maar aangezien ik niet echt zitvlees heb toch maar weer even aan de slag gegaan. Meestal heb ik beginnersgeluk dus wilde nogmaals proberen of het me zou lukken om een tweede bloemhartje te maken. What do you do when you kid is sick…. yes staying around and look after him. So no playtime in my artroom because its upstairs and my sick boy was laying around on the couch. Doing nothing is not something I like to do, so I wanted to try if I could make the flower/heart again, because most of the time I have beginnersluck, often I fail a second time and strangely if I try a tirth time I succeed again!

Hier een close-up en grappig om te vertellen is dat mijn handen die het fototoestel vasthouden reflecteren in de glazen steen in het hart. Here a close-up and fuinny yo see my hands holding the camera are reflected in the glass stone in the middle.

Gelukkig is Max weer een heel eind beter en gaat hij vandaag weer naar school. Luckely Max is feeling much better and he wants to go to school again.

Helemaal besmet met het hartjes virus door Janine er nog een gemaakt. Deze keer een combinatie van de hartjes van Janine en een boek van Gillian Harris “complete feltmaking” wat ik kado heb gekregen en waar ik super blij mee ben. De eerste foto is het heart, bijna klaar, er hoeft alleen nog maar een touwtje en kraal aan. De tweede foto een close-up van de kleine kraaltjes die ik er met de hand opgenaaid heb en de laatste foto om te laten zien dat het echt helemaal uit een stuk bestaat, het paarse balletje heb ik er mee in gevilt zodat ik het open kon knippen, balletje eruit en wat overblijft is de bloem. Het groene hart heb ik eerst om het bolletje gevilt, vandaar dat hij van de turquoise blaadjes gepulkt kon worden. Als laatste in het hart een glazen steen geplaatst.
Completey caught with a virus Janine gave me I made another heart. This time a combination of the awesome hearts Janine makes and a book grom Gillian Harris called “complete feltmaking” which was a gift and I am so happy with it. The top photo is the almost finished heart, all it needs is a string and bead, The middle photo is a close-up to show all the little beads I sew on by hand and the last photo to show you that it is felted out of one piece instead of felting a flower and fastened later. The purple little container is felted within the heart, I felted some green wool around it before putting it in the turquoise felt and after finishing the felting proces I cut it open, removed the container and then was left with this awesome flower. And to finish it completely off I put in a glass stone in the heart.

Hier mijn bijdrage voor Mixed Media Monday: shape up. Ik hou erg van vierkant en hartjes, dus dat zijn de vormen die ik nu laat zien. Je zou het niet zeggen op de bovenste foto omdat hij vanaf de rug van het boekje is gefotografeerd maar hij is toch echt vierkant. De bladzijden zijn 12,5 x 12,5 en zwart. Ik wilde heel graag weten of naaldvlies onder de Cuttlebug doorkon en dat ik die vormen op uitgelegde wollont kon leggen een meevilten en dat hij zijn vorm zou houden. Nou dat lukt dus 😮 ik weer helemaal blij. De sleutel is ook gesneden met een alteration die maar dan uit foam.
Here my entry for Mixed Media Monday: shape up. I really love squares and hearts, so these are the shapes I want to show. Because I photographed the booklet showing its back also it looks like it is not square but in real life it is. The pages are 5″x 5″ and are black. I wanted to know if wool fleece would go through the cuttlebug and if the cut out shapes would keep their shape if wet felted. And I now can tell you, its works 😮 Am really happy. The key is also cut out with a alteration die but then out of foam.

Helemaal geïnspireerd door Janine en haar geweldige hartjes stond dit al een tijdje op mjin to-do lijstje, vandaag de tijd genomen om er eens aan te beginnen en dit is mijn eerste exemplaar. Wat is dit leuk om te doen.
Completely inspired by Janine and her awesome hearts this was on my to-do list for a while now. Today I did take the time to try it out and here is my first result. Its so awesome to do.
